About the NSPE-NH State Scholarship Program

NSPE-NH offers an annual state scholarship(s) for a minimum value of $1,000. One or more scholarships are awarded depending on the performance of the scholarship fund for that year.

How do we do it and what is it for?

Scholarships for engineering students are made possible through the generous contributions of NSPE-NH members, Donor Corporations, and fund-raising activities. The intent of the scholarship is to encourage growth and career development at the state level within the areas of General Civil, Structural, Mechanical, and Electrical Engineering professions.

Who is Eligible for the Scholarships?

Scholarships are granted to high school seniors or college undergraduate students who are currently, or will be enrolled in an ABET-EAC accredited engineering program. Applicants must be in-state (NH) residents and preference will be given to students planning on attending a New Hampshire university or college. In general the scholarships are awarded based on financial need, academic achievement, and general community involvement.

When and How do I apply?

Applications are taken until 4/26/2024.

NSPE-NH John Alger Memorial Scholarship Program

For those of you who are new to the organization, the John Alger Memorial scholarship program has been in place since 2001 and is funded primarily from donations made by NSPE-NH members and member firms. The program is intended to provide financial assistance to students (NH residents) who are already or will be attending an ABET-EAC accredited college or university for studies in the field of engineering. The program is not possible without the strong support of our members and corporate donors. Thank you for your continued support.
